Ado Awaye

This is an ongoing project exploring Oke-Ado in Ado Awaye, a mountain wrapped in lore and wonder.

Atop Oke-Ado, telling fact from fiction is hard. From the Ishage Boulder to the Feet of Elders. One begins to wonder: did nature inspire these tales or is it otherwise?

Are they really the "footprints of the Ado Awaye ancestral elders" or simply weathered rock pools, shaped by time, wind and rain?
